Illumination Resplendent

The tricky key product of the integrative process, of course, is the illumination of energy making all of this scenery visible. Now though we must observe more than contextual surroundings. The challenge is to see oneself in the very act of seeing. That leads me to ask, first off, where does the resulting illumination itself originate? The traditional assumption is that it abides ready-made at-large and we receive it passively. A dissenting suggestion earlier was that anyone who sees subjectively illuminates the surroundings separately.

A more technical anatomy is needed to show how this might happen. Presumably it entails mental processing of some energy from the surrounding field (continuum). It then erupts from the eyes to illuminate--selectively-- whatever surroundings correspondingly pulsate within the mind's own "wave-length" (spectrum of visible frequencies).

My visualizations suggest that the mind is interposing magic of its own as illumination spreads into nooks and crannies, out toward the heavens, generating every play of reflection (mirroring and shadowing); and that the illumination itself does not necessarily match every motion or fluctuation of the underlying energy which sustains it.

Consider for illustration a supercharged—static—state of illuminated scenery which appears on transcendent occasions (stimulated best by natural meditation): as though suffused with energy ready to erupt. A grid of dark lines spreads faintly across an increasingly transparent scene—closely—as though upon the very surface of my eyes. It fades in and out of focus providing cohesion for developing mental pictures of surrounding scenery.

Note (around New Year): Incidentally, John Huey's Mensa Bulletin (September '03 No. 468, p.3) contains a notice claiming--djraven@popstar.com--that the speed of light has been altered and even frozen in a lab. Query?

On these transcendent occasions, in any event, my eyes focus aesthetically upon the stillness. I can picture in the mind's eye though how this static state is paradoxically sustained by energetic turbulence from microscopic levels. The total visualization resulting displays illumination resplendent—issuing from mental processing of the energy—as though focused through a prism to spray forth into geometric patterns.

A suggestion then appears to me that the resulting illumination itself is not what moves in any direction—at a critical "speed of light"--but is stimulated successively when reached by energy flows that sustain it. The underlying energy does move, of course, in interlacing directions. It simultaneously seems to pulsate back and forth—conceivably with rough analogy to alternating current—but still managing to attain the critically "net" speed in any direction. Those personal visualizations keep suggesting though that the issuing illumination itself has been somewhat detached, in effect, from energetic turbulence by intervening mental processes.

Note (from "Catalogue"): I was toying with a suggestion--notably from Goethe (and my own experience)--that the illuminating quality of light (whatever it is) gets projected from our eyes onto a landscape, as well as vice versa. The procedure was relatively unplanned in order to reveal my own mental processes while experimenting with these materials, turning up whatever symbolism appeared along the way.

Illumination evidently emanates from the eyes to spread about naturally—as the very means by which one sees surrounding scenery—in its own variegated ways. It is only when illumination is focused—by lasers and spotlights notably—that it appears to move measurably in sync with underlying energy. Otherwise it presents a "fabric"effect: which is disturbed routinely from energetic movements beneath. These apparently do pulsate—at geometrically patterned frequencies—rippling in turn through the surrounding medium. (It seems that all of the above is overwhelmingly integrated in this continuum.)
