RECONSTRUCTION OF PHILOSOPHY
INTRODUCTION

JimMcCord.com

This website is my vehicle for reconstructing usual assessments of the human condition and cognition: holistically (in words and pictures).

Reconstructed narrations demonstrate themselves by incorporating my stream-of-consciousness while developing ideas narrated (within the concrete context of personal experience). This literary format also incorporates examples of books about how the books were written.

For simplification I employ open-ended terminology commonly understood. A conversational alternative is thus offered to the traditional writing of philosophy. It has been complicated—beyond accessibility to most readers—by writers' attempts to spell everything out for them; notably with specialized definitions of terminology employed along the way. Great ideas from books have often been buried in consequently complicated semantics.

I endeavor instead to “paint pictures” with ordinary language illustrated symbolically by artifacts. Viewers are thereby challenged to re-think, for themselves, questions more or less familiar to everyone: invoking their common sensibility to observe a

neglected beauty of the obvious”

Thus I have deliberately avoided a tedious determination of everything to be philosophized in advance of readers' perusal. The website is designed instead for completion by viewers; according to their own experience.
